Nuclear Iran

From the October 15 Washington Post:

The United States and France jointly warned Iran Friday that it continues to face the danger of referral to the U.N. Security Council if it does not quickly end a boycott of negotiations on its nuclear program.

I think talks with Iran regarding their nuclear programs are probably futile. Obviously they're going to do what they want to do regardless of what we tell them to do.

Talking of arrogance. What God given right U.S. and France or for that matter any other country has to tell Iran what to do or not to do?

Iran won't bow to US nonesense. Period. Iran needs the plants for power generation. Why can't the Yanks get it! The matter is technical not political, since there has not been any deviation towards a non-civilian use according to the IAEA.

Why does Iran, which is sitting on some of the largest proven oil reserves in the world, need nuclear energy? Do you think that they are instead, given the recent comments of their President, developing a weapons system? Don't you think that the United States has a right to object to a country that is hostile to the only long-term democracy in the middle east developing a weapons system that could wipe said country off the map? The right we have is the right of all men to prevent despots from taking the lives of innocents. Iran is a menace, let's make sure that they don't have weapons to put their evil designs into practice.
